Underneath the Tatra Mountains
People are weird. They do not always say, what they really think and from time to time they run away from problems instead of facing them. On one hand I can understand it. I rarely know what I want, what I think and what I want to do. On the other hand is it right to leave it and wait for everything to be solved by itself? A responsible person would say that it is not right. And even though I'm of the same opinion, sometimes, it's better to escape the reality. So I spent a few days underneath the Tatra Mountains with someone who sometimes knows me better than I do.
Pôvodný plán bola najmä turistika, no kvôli počasiu nám to vôbec nevyšlo.
The original plan was mainly hiking, but due to the weather we had to change our plans. Actually, I was lucky enough to see the Tatras at least for a few minutes because there were clouds surrounding them all the time. And so the main plan for the first rainy day was a shopping center. Later on we went for a lunch, had a cup of coffee on a terrace and in the evening we played badminton.
It happens quite rarely that when I wake up I'm full of energy and in the mood to do something for myself. With Lucy, we motivated each other, therefore, we started our next day with exercise. Then, we had breakfast and went to the city center. Before the lunch, we visited local gallery called "Podtatranská Galéria", where the permanent exhibition of modern paintings became my favorite part.
Môj výlet do Popradu netrval dlho, no aj tie dva dni stáli za to. Veľa sme sa rozprávali, smiali sa až sme plakali a vypili sme toľko šálok kávy, že mi to bude stačiť na celý ďalší týždeň. (just kidding, práve jednu pijem :D)
Avšak realite sa nedá vyhýbať príliš dlho. A tak som podvečer nasadla na vlak, vrátila sa naspäť a problémy začala riešiť. A ponaučenie? Niekedy naozaj platí pravidlo, že všetko chce len čas, vôľu a trpezlivosť.
My trip to Poprad didn't last long, but those two days were definitely worth it. We talked a lot, we laughed so hard we cried and we drank so many cups of coffee that it is enough for the entire next week. (just kidding, I'm having one right now :D)
However, reality cannot be avoided for too long. So I caught the train in the evening, went back and I started to solve my problems. And what about the lessons learned? Sometimes it is true that everything needs time, will and patience.
